Day 6 - the puppies are just being very cute and moving around the whelping box although here they are all asleep.   Cadbury likes to air his tummy.

Puppies are growing by leaps and bounds.   I have been having trouble coming up with a theme for puppy names and since this is an all brown litter think have finally decided to use chocolatiers.   So for all of you chocoholics:

Yellow Girl = Godiva
Blue Girl = Lindt
Red Girl = Ghirardelli or Delli for short
Pink Girl = Perugina or Gina for short
Patch Girl = Noka (most famous for their dark chocolate)
Green Boy = Cadbury

Mystic is finally settling down with the babies although she seems to think that she has to be with them 24 x 7.  Here's a shot of her deciding that she was going to stay with them while the whelping box was being cleaned this morning.  This is a 200 size crate.

On Monday, 4/16, Mystic had her puppies.  The total is 6, 5 girls with one patch and 1 boy.  3 of the girls were whelped naturally but there was a traffic jam with puppy 4 & 5 so she needed an emergency C-section to deal with the remaining 3 puppies.  All of the puppies are doing well and mom seems to be recovering from the C-section fine.

Mystic had her ultrasound yesterday and we were able to determine that she is in fact pregnant.  Here is a picture of her on day 31.

Although it isn't particularly evident from this angle she is definitely broader looking at her from the top down.  I'll post more pictures as she gets further along.
